Alexa turned 2 on October 2nd! Yay! We started the day by my singing Happy Birthday to her in bed. I wanted her to know from the minute she woke up that it was her special day. We celebrated by taking her Leo's Place in Idaho Falls for pizza and playing. The older kids had a teacher workshop day and it was Mark's day off so we all were able to go together. She loved playing in the play place with her older siblings. In the evening, Grandma and Grandpa Collard, Aunt Alisa and Uncle Rande, Aunt Angela, Uncle Clint, Gabbie and Addison, Uncle Jim and Aunt Joan and Cassie and Emma all came over for cake and ice cream. Alexa is a big chocolate fan so she had chocolate cake decorated with Elmo and his friends. She loves Elmo right now. She received lots of fun presents, a new winter coat and a princess vanity that she plays with every day. She is 100% girl. It is hard to believe she is already 2, although with the temper tantrums she has been prone to lately, she is right on track for appropriate 2 year old behavior. At her 2 year check-up she weighed 22 pounds and 10 ounces. We sang Happy Birthday to her probably 15-20 times throughout the day and each time she got a huge grin on her face. It was nice to see her enjoy her special day!
