My mother's birthday was Friday and we called her in the morning before the kids headed to school to sing to her and wish her a Happy Birthday. Alexa knew you have cake at birthdays, so we decided we would make cupcakes after naptime to celebrate Grammies birthday...even though Grammie is in Maine and had no idea what we were doing. They had to be pink cupcakes because pink is Alexa's favorite color. When she woke up from her nap she had a huge grin on her face and said, "Cupcakes now!" It was cute to see her so excited. Although I have to say that making cupcakes with a 2 year old qualifies for my service of the day!!!! Grammie we love you and are glad you inspired us to make cupcakes....we only wish you could have been there to eat them with us!
